JAYA EKADASHI- 2023

Shukla Paksha Ekadashi is known as Jaya Ekadashi in the Magh calendar. It is believed that by worshipping Lord Vishnu on Jaya Ekadashi, a person's sorrows will vanish. The auspiciousness of this Ekadashi cannot be overstated.

The Panchang indicates that Jaya Ekadashi Tithi in Shukla Paksha of Magha month will begin at 11:53 am on January 31 and end at 02:01 pm on February 1.

Fasting on Ekadashi is regarded as extremely advantageous in Sanatan Dharma. By keeping this fast, all of the being's afflictions are removed, and Lord Vishnu's mercy endures. Among them, Jaya Ekadashi is the ideal date to purge all sins from this and prior incarnations. Not only that, but it will eradicate terrible crimes like Brahmatya and satanic nature.

Spiritual fasting on this Ekadashi, devoted to Shri Vishnu, never takes a man into the world of a ghost and achieves redemption after burial. In Padampuraan, it is believed that anybody who fasts on 'Jaya Ekadashi' has provided all types of contributions and completed all the yagya ceremonies.

On this day, after having a bath in the morning, wash the idol of Lord Vishnu with panchamrit, etc., while being sattvic and repeating the mantra 'Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay'. Aarti should be conducted with camphor by providing Ritufal, paan, coconut, sandalwood, flowers, til, and incense. On the day of Dwadashi, conduct Jagran in the name of Lord Hari and feed the underprivileged. Eat Satvik cuisine to stay away from difficulties.
