After two years due to corona infection, preparations are being made to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with great pomp. Idols of Ganpati Bappa are being made in the market. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi starts every year on Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month which lasts for 10 days. People install the idol of Ganesh Ji in their homes and offer prayers by law. Ganesh Chaturthi is the birthday of Ganesh Ji, hence it is also called Ganesh Jayanti.

When is Ganesh Chaturthi?

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi starts from the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada and is celebrated for the next 10 days. On the last day, on Chaturdashi, Ganpati immerses Bappa after duly worshiping him. According to the Panchang, this time Ganesh Chaturthi is on 31st August.

THE AUSPICIOUS COMBINATION

According to the Panchang, this year three auspicious yogas are being formed on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and a special coincidence is being made. This year's Ganesh Chaturthi date is in Ravi Yoga. On the same day, two auspicious yogas, Brahma Yoga and Shukla Yoga are also being formed. According to the Panchang, there is Ravi Yoga from 05:58 in the morning till 12:12 in the night on Wednesday, 31 August 2022. Whereas from morning till 10:48 in the night, Brahma Yoga will start immediately after the end of Shukla Yoga. All these three yogas are considered very auspicious from the point of view of worship.
