On Sankashti Chaturthi, devotees observe a strict fast from sunrise to moonrise. They abstain from consuming any food and often perform special pujas (prayers) or recite hymns dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The fast is broken after sighting the moon and offering prayers to Lord Ganesha.

• Nagpur: Partial Lunar Eclipse

The Partial Lunar Eclipse will be apparent at 05:35 p.m., commencing at 05:32 p.m. and lasting at 07:26 p.m. It will last 1 hour and 54 minutes. The Moon will be covered by about 60% in Nagpur.

• Kohima: Total Lunar Eclipse

The Eclipse will reach its greatest phase in Kohima at about 4:29 p.m. The phenomena will occur at 04:23 p.m. and terminate at 07:26 p.m. It will last 3 hours and 2 minutes.

• Agartala: Total Lunar Eclipse

The eclipse will peak at 04:43 p.m., after commencing at 04:38 p.m. and finishing at 07:26 p.m. It will last 2 hours and 47 minutes.

• Guwahati: Total Lunar Eclipse

The Lunar Eclipse will occur in Guwahati at 4:32 pm and end at 07:26 pm. The total Eclipse duration will be 2 hours and 53 minutes, and it will be at its maximum at 04:36 pm.

• Total Lunar Eclipse in Bhubaneswar

The Eclipse will peak at 05:09 pm in Bhubaneswar and span 2 hours and 20 minutes.

• Total Lunar Eclipse in Siliguri

At 04:49 p.m., Siliguri will see a complete lunar eclipse. The eclipse will last two hours and forty-one minutes.
